Psematismenos Village

The pretty, traditional village of Psematismenos lies in a rural yet convenient location mid way between the main cities of the island. The sea is just 2km (Maroni and Zygi) and the main A1 highway only 1km away. The famous beaches of Governor’s Beach are only 8 km away.

The history of Psematismenos can be traced back more than 600 years and boasts two ancient churches. One of its many historic buildings (1917) is now a pleasant restaurant, Lord Kitchener serving local and international cuisine. Many original village houses remain and are being skilfully renovated to retain their traditional style and charm. The narrow side streets are newly cobbled to recreate a time gone by.

The small village maintains a strong sense of community where new residents and visitors alike are made very welcomed. Psematismenos is surrounded by olive and citrus groves and agricultural land, which form the basis of the local economy.

The village of Psematismenos aims at becoming regional cultural centre and has quite a number activity place in the process to materialise

Travelling from Larnaka / Larnaka International Airport and Lefkosia to Santa Marina Villas Cottages:
Take Exit 14 of motorway A1 – sign Choirokoitia - Psematismenos Villages. Follow the signs to Psematismenos village and Santa Marina signs. 
or through new Larnaka coastal road go to Maroni-Zygi Villages. Follow the signs to Psematismenos village and Santa Marina Villas.

Travelling from Lemesos / Paphos to Santa Marina Villas & Cottages:
Take Exit 16 of motorway A1 – sign Kalavasos. Follow the signs to Psematismenos Village and Santa Marina signs. 
or from the local road through Choirokoitia & Zygi Village to Psematismenos Village. Follow the Santa Marina signs.

SANTA MARINA AT ZYGI MARINA

The Zygi Marina, currently sheltering fishing boats, is said to include in the future visiting / touring Boats / yachts, has a very big number of fishing restaurants along the Zygi seafront blending with the long dutiful, protected sandy beaches. 

At Zygi you will have the opportunity to purchase daily, fresh fish that the local fishermen brings out of the sea with the sunset as well as fresh fruits and vegetables also at Zygi you will find grocery shops, bakery, pharmacist as well as small variety shops for clothing and shoes.

SANTA MARINA NEAR ARCHEOLOGY, BEACHES AND GOLF COURSES

Within 5min from Santa Marina you will find the ancient neolithic setelment of Choirokitia,very popular amongs the turist, in 8min the Kalavasos old train and mines theme park and archeological chuerches in all the surounding villages.

No more than 5min driving the three bay Maroni  santy beaches are found and for an all day attendance the famous Governor’s beaches with full servises and the many restorants will take no more than 10 min driving.  

For all the Golf lovers find one of the four existing, at near proximately , golf courses and are looking forward to use in the near future the new  larger and more comprehensive Tersefanou golf course that will not take more than 12min via the attractive costal road towards Larnaca airport
